Built From a Greater Thing
At 45 years old, I made a decision that terrified me and freed me at the same time. I decided to start over.
Not because everything had fallen apart — though some of it had. Not because I had a perfect plan — because I didn't. I started over because something deep inside me refused to let me settle for a life that didn't match the purpose I felt burning inside.
My name is Sheana Whye. I am a mother of five. I am a woman of faith. And I am the founder of WHYELUME.
Where the Name Comes From
WHYELUME is built from two things that define me: my family name, Whye, and the word lume — meaning light, illumination, and purpose.
Together they form something bigger than a brand name. They form a declaration. That no matter where you come from, no matter how many times life has knocked you down, your light is still there. Your purpose is still there. And it is worth building something around.
Why Apparel
I chose apparel because what we wear is never just clothing. It is armor. It is identity. It is a statement we make before we ever open our mouths.
I wanted to create pieces that carry weight — not just in fabric and construction, but in meaning. Every WHYELUME piece is designed for the person who is moving with intention. The person who has been through something and is still standing. The person who knows that their story is not finished.
For Those Determined to Become More
WHYELUME is for the ones who refuse to shrink. The ones who are rebuilding. The ones who are raising children while chasing dreams. The ones who pray in the morning and grind all day. The ones who know that faith without action is just a wish.
This brand is for you. It was built by someone who is you.
Purpose Illuminated
We are just getting started. The collections you see here are the beginning of something that will grow into a legacy — not just a clothing line, but a movement of people who wear their purpose out loud.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for believing in something before it is finished. That is exactly the kind of faith that WHYELUME was built on.
